Edwards Grocery was started by Frank and Leota Edwards in 1950 as both a Grocery and Feed store and served the community of Harrison for several years at this first location until the flood of 1961 wiped out the businesses along crooked creek.

A new store was under construction (which became the location of Edwards Grocery today) when Frank suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. Mrs. Edwards was faced with the decision to carry on or join her parents in their business. Not too many women ran small businesses in small town Arkansas in those days but Mrs. Edwards not only had a family to support, she also wanted to carry on with what her and her husband had started.

This year Edwards Grocery is celebrating 58 years of serving Harrison and is now the only home owned and operated store in town. We take our slogan "Edwards Saves You Money!" to heart and strive to do just that every day with great weekly ads, in store specials, everyday low prices, and our "Edwards Key To Savings" program.

Come to Edwards and see for yourself the advantages of shopping with a friendly home owned store that has grown over the years with, and cares about our community.

We live in the present

We dream in the future

But we learn eternal truths from the past

"A small one room store on the banks of crooked creek was the beginning of Edwards Grocery."
